Mains Crane-USA to Open Branch in Northern Plains Commerce Centre

The Bismarck City Commission unanimously approved a lease agreement with Mains Crane USA at the Tuesday night Commission Meeting. The Northern Plains Commerce Centre will become the home of the second crane rental branch in North Dakota for the company. Mallory Alexander International Logistics will enter into a separate agreement with Mains Crane to handle the loading and unloading of railcars and trucks.  In addition to the contracted duties within the NPCC the company will look forward to the opportunity to serve  the commercial and industrial construction, utility and resource industries in Western North Dakota with top quality crane and lifting services with an absolute emphasis on safety in the operation.

It is still premature to speculate as to how many machines or what type of cranes will be repositioned to Bismarck but the Mains Crane USA staff plan to be active in meeting the needs of their customers by providing late model high quality lifting equipment located in Bismarck, thereby saving unnecessarily high mobilization costs.

Mr. Corey Robertsdahl, US General Manager will be heading up the Bismarck office and eventually relocating from the current operations in Fargo. There will be employment opportunities for NCCCO certified crane operators, heavy duty crane mechanics as well as young people entering the work force with a sincere interest in the crane/heavy equipment business.

At present, the vast majority of Mains Crane equipment fleet is located in the Canadian operations in Alberta and Saskatchewan where they employ approximately 100 people in salaried and hourly paid positions. As the U.S. economy continues to recover it is anticipated that the North Dakota venture could potentially grow to be a larger sized operation than the operation in Canada.

Mains Crane is a privately held company that has served Western Canada for over 15 years with a commitment to safety and customer service. The corporate office is located in Nisku, Alberta with Canadian branch operations in Fort McMurray, Alberta and Regina, Saskatchewan. Mains Crane USA head office is in Phoenix, AZ with branch operations in Fargo and Bismarck, ND.
